Turn your book into a PDF so that others may revise and approve
How to Create a PDF in Pictavo
Go to your Ladder View and click on the small PDF icon. Select the range of pages you want exported or select “All Pages”. Next, click on “Send” and you will be prompted to save on your computer.
How to Create a PDF in EZBook
Go to the File menu and choose Print. Next, choose “EZBook PDF Printer” from the drop down menu. Choose how many pages you want in the PDF (or leave it set to “all”) and then click Print. This save a PDF of your book, Now you can open or print your EZBook yearbook on any computer with Adobe.
Pictavo and EZBook have templates you can use to quickly and easily insert images. Be sure and take a look at the templates; even if you don’t plan on using them because they are sure to provide you with some layout ideas.
Templates contained in Pictavo and EZBook “snap into place” and allow for quick and professional looking teams & club pages.
By now you should have received your data proofs.
If you received your Portrait CD’s with your Proofs simply choose your color and upload.
If you did not receive your CD’s with your proofs SplendidPortraits is saving you a step this year and we will be uploading for you! All we need is your color choice. Please send us an email with your color selection at your earliest convenience and we will upload right away.
If you have already sent me your color choice THANK YOU! Your Portraits are now uploaded and ready to FLOW!!

I am sure you all have been very busy diligently yearbooking. We have seen some amazing custom covers come in. The Stock Cover choices have been great as well!
If you haven’t gotten your covers in to us please do so as soon as possible. The Deadline is TODAY December 3rd.

Are you looking for different ways to flow your Portraits?
Perhaps you would like to flow the graduating class as a whole rather than by class. There is an easy way to do this in Pictavo and EZBook!
In EZBook when you go to flow your portraits all you need to do, flow as usual, when prompted choose flow by grade, then select the grade you want to flow.
Your last step is to make all of your specifications as you would on any flow. Be sure to have the flow go onto multiple pages so that the whole grade flows onto consecutive pages.
After you have everything set to your liking click NEXT and you are done!
In Pictavo there are a few different steps, they are as follows:
After all of your Portraits are uploaded (sorted by teacher) go to each graduating grades’ folder . Select all of the students in the class, then look at the bottom left where the information is kept. Now simply change the Teacher Name to say Graduating Class.
This will create a new folder called Graduating Class.
Do this for all of your graduating classes to get them all in the same folder.
Now you can flow the whole Graduating Class as one group while still keeping your lower grades sorted by teacher.

As many of you know Data Proofs are a great way to keep track of changes that may need to be made in your Yearbook so that your Yearbook represents each class correctly. It is a hard copy of all portraits taken on original and make-up day.
After Make-Up day we will be sending these Data Proofs to you. Give your teachers their class so they can make any changes needed. Once they have handed their class back to you, you will be able to easily make these corrections in your Yearbook software.

By now all of you should have received your Yearbook Kits in
the mail as well your Activation Code emails. If you haven’t done so, put those
activation codes to good use and activate your book! This year we are very excited to announce that there is 30% more borders, backgrounds and clipart for even more great design
options!
Take a minute to look through your Yearbook Kits which
include your Getting Started Resource Guide for some great tips on how to get
your yearbook season started! You will also notice your Yearbook Publishing
Reservation Form. Don’t forget that these are to be signed and returned by October
22nd.

Hello, One and All!
As summer is coming to a close we are busy here at Splendid getting ready for the Fall. I am so excited to begin another great year with all of you.
Here are some things to look for coming soon!:
-Activation Code email. This email will be your ticket to registering and opening your new yearbook on our software, EZBook. I will be sending out your Activation codes with instructions via email at the beginning or middle of September.
-Yearbook Kit! Your Kit materials are being gathered and we will be sending these out to your schools the middle/end of September. Some items which will be enclosed include: The Getting Started guide with everything you need to know to start the yearbook process, EZBook Art & Font Guide, and of course your Yearbook Publishing Reservation form so that you can sign up for a slot to publish with us in the new school year.
