You should have all received you kits and Yearbook Reservation Forms in the mail by now. This is just another friendly reminder that your Yearbook Reservation Forms are due this coming Monday, October 22nd. Just one week away!
Different ways you can return your Form:
Common question asked:
Q: “What if I want to change my page numbers or my amount of books?”
A: “No problem! Splendid Portraits does not require you to lock in your page or book counts until you submit you final book in the spring. Your Yearbook Reservation Form only reserves your production slot with our printer.
There are also a few other helpful bits of information on your Form including, important deadline dates as well as your pricing grid. Your pricing grid allows you to see what your price would be if you were to change your page or book count.”

By now all of you should have received your Yearbook Kits in
the mail as well your Activation Code emails. If you haven’t done so, put those
activation codes to good use and activate your book! This year we are very excited to announce that there is 30% more borders, backgrounds and clipart for even more great design
options!
Take a minute to look through your Yearbook Kits which
include your Getting Started Resource Guide for some great tips on how to get
your yearbook season started! You will also notice your Yearbook Publishing
Reservation Form. Don’t forget that these are to be signed and returned by October
22nd.

Hello, One and All!
As summer is coming to a close we are busy here at Splendid getting ready for the Fall. I am so excited to begin another great year with all of you.
Here are some things to look for coming soon!:
-Activation Code email. This email will be your ticket to registering and opening your new yearbook on our software, EZBook. I will be sending out your Activation codes with instructions via email at the beginning or middle of September.
-Yearbook Kit! Your Kit materials are being gathered and we will be sending these out to your schools the middle/end of September. Some items which will be enclosed include: The Getting Started guide with everything you need to know to start the yearbook process, EZBook Art & Font Guide, and of course your Yearbook Publishing Reservation form so that you can sign up for a slot to publish with us in the new school year.

Notice anything different? Yes! We have updated SplendidYearbooks.com to better serve you and all your yearbook needs! Along with the improved look, it’s now even easier for you to submit all of your forms directly through our website, including Requesting Yearbook Order Envelopes and Submitting your Stock Cover!
We’ve also added some great new resources. For example, under the “Ideas” tab you can now find a new page called Promoting Your Yearbook. This page has tons a great ideas for promoting and selling your yearbooks all year long.
Another great resource we have added is our new page called, Candid Photography Tips under the “Tech Support” tab. Here you can read our expert photography advice on how to capture your school’s facilities, people and events to achieve the best quality images for your yearbook. Learn about Color Balance settings on your camera, Composition Tips and more!
Yearbook Planning Timeline
Time flies when you’re creating yearbooks! Make sure you’re organized and on track all year long with our monthly Planning Timeline!
Our Planning Timeline is located under the “Planning” tab of www.SplendidYearbooks.com. Just click, print and start planning!
With the new extended deadline you’ll have a whole month more to create and add new events, pages, pictures and more! 30 additional days for your yearbook is very exciting! and it’s a good idea to use this time to “Perfect” your book rather than create. Make sure to have the basics completed ahead of time such as flowing your panel pages, placing text & candid images. That way you’ll have plenty of time to check for errors and create the best yearbook yet!
Page Layout Worksheet
Hint: Make sure to check out our downloadable Page Layout Worksheet to help you plan out each page’s theme and content. This works GREAT for committees of students who are assigned different pages. You can find our Worksheet under the “Planning” tab 
Although you are just starting to work on your book, it’s a great idea to promote and sell your yearbooks ahead of time. Many of my Advisors like to have pre-sales of their book throughout the year!
And requesting your envelopes has never been easier. Now you can log on to www.splendidyearbooks.com and click “Request Order Envelopes” under the “How To” section. Just fill out the interactive PDF form and submit right online! We print the envelopes in-house so you are able to receive your envelopes in the mail in just about a week.
Remember to select Online Ordering for your parents! This way they have 2 options available to order their yearbooks. Online ordering is convenient and easy for parents to remember and is almost always guaranteed to up your sales numbers.

Just a friendly reminder that your signed Yearbook Reservation Forms are due by this Friday October 21st!! You can scan and email, fax, or you can send in by regular snail mail
HINT: Splendid Portraits does not lock in any of your page or book counts until you turn in your final book until you submit your final book. The Yearbook Reservation Form is to give you a price estimate and to hold your publishing slot with us for this yearbook season.

Remember, your Yearbook Publishing Reservation Form is due to Splendid on October 22nd. If you haven’t already had a school administrator sign it, please do so and return the signed form to us by the deadline.
The form can be found in your yearbook kit. If you have misplaced your copy, please email Melissa Trent at MTrent@SplendidPortraits.com and she will email you another copy.
Also, if you have any changes that need to made to the Reservation Form, feel free to write on the actual form. Once we receive the signed form, we will update our files to reflect any changes that have been made.
